1. Taking of the hamlet Les Allagouttes by the Marching Regiment of the Foreign Legion and 11th Goum, 2nd Group of Moroccan Tabors.
On 9 December 1944, after two days of fierce fighting, the hamlet of Les Allagouttes was taken by the Goumiers of the 2nd Group of Moroccan Tabors, with reinforcements from 17th Tabor, 3rd Group of Moroccan Tabors and the Legionnaires of the Marching Regiment of the Foreign Legion.
On 11 December, after 3 days of resistance to German counterattacks, 11th Goum was relieved by 39th Goum, 15th Tabor, 2nd Group of Moroccan Tabors.
34 men were killed and more than 100 wounded in the fighting.
This tree was planted in memory of the liberators by the young people of the “Le Champ de Ia Croix” association, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary.
